We have got a spectacular lineup for our first show of 2013!
Our February show will open with The Gee’s Bend Experience: Quilts from Tinnie, Minnie, and Claudia Pettway. Fiber artist Marquetta Johnson will also be showing her colorful, hand-dyed quilts.
Several painters will be included in our February exhibition. Drawing on the Unexpected: Works from Asheville Artists, curated by Julyan Davis will be accompanied by new works from Davis. We are also introducing painters Ernesto Torres and Stephen Bach. In addition we will have new works from Frank Hyder, Ashley Surber, Terry Turrell, a selection of Herbert Creecy paintings, and Mark Karelson’s new body of work, Originem.
Coated Lens: Life at 1/125th, a MFA thesis show from photographer Andrew Michael Phillips will round out the exhibition.
The show will open with an artist’s reception on Friday, February 15 from 7 to 10 pm and will run through March 30, 2013.
